Marketing cookies
Marketingowe (reklamowe) cookies wykorzystujemy w celu dopasowania treści i form reklam, wyświetlanych zarówno na Naszych stronach, jak i w sieciach reklamowych naszych partnerów do Twoich potrzeb i upodobań.
We also use Google's remarketing feature, which allows us to display interest-based ads to Users in the Google ad network. In this process, user interaction with Service content is analyzed, for example, which areas interest the User. To accomplish this, Google cookies are stored on the User's device, which allow visitors to be recognized when they visit websites that are part of the Google ad network. These websites can then display ads to visitors that relate to content they previously viewed on websites using Google's remarketing feature. We commission the display of Google display ads and flexible display ads.
Informacje uzyskane za pomocą pliku cookie służącego do konwersji umożliwiają kompilowanie statystyk konwersji i rejestrowania całkowitej liczby Użytkowników, którzy kliknęli daną reklamę i zostali przekierowani do witryny z tagiem śledzenia konwersji.
The Service also uses Facebook marketing cookies known as the Facebook Pixel. The Pixel allows data to be collected, which PP can use in a Facebook advertising campaign based on monitoring user activity on the Service. The Pixel specifically enables: obtaining information about what device Users are using, what activities they perform on the Service, and how long the User stayed on the Service. Additionally, the Pixel allows for the creation of custom conversions, which are used to track significant events in the Service for use in advertising campaigns. Based on the collected information, advertisements tailored to the User's preferences can then be displayed on Facebook.
The heart of Łódź culture: the place of writers and artists
The Siemens House is not only a part of the history of Polish entrepreneurship, but also of the press. It was here that the Warsaw publishing house "Czytelnik" had its headquarters after 1945, and later the editorial offices of Łódź newspapers: "Karuzela", "Dziennik Łódzki" and "Express Ilustrowany". At that time, the tenement house hosted outstanding writers on a daily basis: Zofia Nałkowska, Stanisław Jerzy Lec, Jan Brzechwa, Tadeusz Peiper and many others.
It housed the Journalist Club and the Fraszka café, and the building was colloquially called the Press House. The Siemens House also became part of the history of Polish rock. Kora posed in its courtyard in one of the scenes of the music video for the song "Lucciola" by the Maanam band.
The Siemens House is an outstanding design by Karl Janish. The German architect used a skeleton structure for the first time in Łódź, which allowed for the building's facade to be covered with large windows. For over 100 years, the building hosted manufacturers, writers and musicians. What do the modernist walls of the tenement house remember?
The tenement house was built for the needs of the Łódź branch of the Polish Electric Factories Siemens Joint-Stock Company. In 1914, a luxurious Siemens department store opened on the ground floor, where wealthy manufacturers bought the most fashionable lighting and electrical equipment. In the interwar period, the luxurious delicatessen of the Ignatowicz brothers and the headquarters of the Commercial and Industrial Bank were also located here.
The plot at Piotrkowska 96 in Łódź is purchased by SIEMENS – the Joint-Stock Company of Polish Electrotechnical Works Siemens&Halske.
The construction of a tenement house in the style of classical modernism begins, according to the latest construction patterns transferred from Berlin by the German designer Karl Janish.
The construction of a monumental building with a skeleton-reinforced concrete structure and huge glass windows is completed.
The building becomes an architectural phenomenon among the Secession buildings of the city center. The tenement house is the investor's headquarters, the facade is decorated with the inscription "SIEMENS", and a bee appears in the tympanum - a symbol of industriousness.
The Siemens department store opens.
It is a kind of showroom of the times, where the modern upper class buys innovative equipment for their homes, such as "inductive and battery telephones", "ventilators", "hair crimping tubes" or "the latest expression of technology - electric vacuum cleaners".
In the interwar period, the tenement house was home to the well-known, luxurious delicatessen of the brothers Fryderyk and Gustaw Ignatowicz.
The elegant shop supplied the tables of the city's elite – manufacturers and management staff. It is a warehouse of imported wines, colonial goods, delicatessens and exotic fruits.
The Joint-Stock Company of Polish Works "Siemens" sells the tenement house to the Commercial and Industrial Bank - the leader of banking services for numerous factories in Łódź at the time - the bank "discounts, collects bills of exchange, freight".
The Siemens Department Store remains in the building. The bank commissions the reconstruction of the tenement house according to the design of architect Dawid Lande.
Just after World War II, the tenement house became the seat of the "Czytelnik" Publishing Cooperative.
The building houses the editorial offices of Łódź newspapers: "Karuzela", "Dziennik Łódzki", "Express Ilustrowany". The Journalist's Club is located on the first floor. The building is also called the "Press House” interchangeably with the Siemens House.
The Siemens Metropolitan Tenement House at 96 Piotrkowska Street is entered into the register of monuments of the City of Łódź as a characteristic example of classical modernism in architecture.
The modernism is emphasized by the frame structure of the building and huge windows, and classicism is visible, for example, in the Ionic semi-columns. Register number A/72.
The building is becoming a part of Polish rock history. In the courtyard of the building, the Maanam Group is filming a clip for their big hit – the song “Lucciola” performed by Kora.
The building has been a film set several times, and in modern times it has become the setting for the book “Yellow Peugeot” by Marcin Andrzejewski.
The city announces a tender for the revitalization of the tenement house.
The building is purchased by a private investor, and a project is created to adapt the building for residential and commercial purposes. The investment is not implemented due to the financial crisis of 2008-2009. The project was waiting for implementation for a dozen years.
The Siemens House is purchased by a group of Krakow private equity investors experienced in the revitalization of historic buildings and their adaptation into luxury apartments.
This is another project implemented in Łódź after the Finster Tenement House. The new buyer, VP Piotrkowska 96 Sp. z o.o., is starting to prepare a renovation project for the building.
